A Facelift 15 Years Later

They say everything's bigger in Texas and this San Antonio-built Tundra is no exception. A few of the upgraded features include the new panoramic retractable moon roof, a huge new grill with a different option for every trim level, 14" touchscreen multi-media center, Toyota Safety Sense 2.5, and upgraded suspension from the traditional leaf springs to the double rear coil springs, making for a much more comfortable ride. With bold new body lines, big fenders, and powerful front grille, the Tundra shows this truck is ready for anything.

Aside from the obvious exterior design changes, the one MAJOR change this year is the Engine, Transmission, and overall Performance. No longer offering the V-8 engine, the 2022 Toyota Tundra now comes equipped with a twin-turbo V-6 and an automatic transmission for extra torque and power when you need it most and even better fuel mileage. You won't miss the V-8 of years past with the new twin-turbo V-6: quick get-up-and-go acceleration and very minimal turbo lag. With 3 options for engines, you'll have more than enough ponies and torque to get the job done. The SR trim offers 348 HP and 405 feet of torque. The standard option pushes out 389 HP and 479 pound-feet. Also with the Hybrid version, which allows pure electric driving at low speeds, puts out 437 HP and 583 pound-feet.
