Anderson-Weber has been an avid supporter of education within the greater Dubuque community for decades. Past efforts have been primarily focused on sponsorships and donations geered towards educators, the Epic Summer Rav Trip has since changed that. The Epic Summer Rav Trip is targeting college students who have reached graduation status in a 50 mile radius of Dubuque, Iowa. The students who meet these requirements are eligible to enter, and have the opportunity to win the Epic Summer Rav Trip! To enter the contest, we want to hear about your dream epic road trip. Each contestant is required to submit a video telling us the following:
- Where would you go?
- Who would you bring with?
- What would you do?
While the requirements are limited, we encourage you to think outside of the box. We pick a winner based off of creativity, whatever that means to you. 2019 Epic Summer Rav Trip Ashley Botsford
The East Coast Awaits
The Epic Summer Rav Trip was kicked off in 2019 with its very first winner, Clarke University graduate Ashley Botsford. Ashley chose to head east for her two week roadtrip making her first stop in the Smoky Mountains filled with outdoor activities including white water rafting. From there, she traveled further south making stops in Myrtle Beach SC, Savannah GA, and Destin FL. Making her way back home included more fun filled stops in Gulf Shores AL, Nashville TN, and concluded in St. Louis MI. Click below to view Ashley's complete trip journal.
2023 Epic Summer Rav Trip Livy Lansing
National Park Hoping
After a 3-year hiatis due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Epic Summer Rav Trip is back for 2023. We are back and more excited than ever for our 2023 winner, Loras graduate Livy Lansing! Livy and her friends started at the Badlands in South Dakota. From there, they hit Victor ID, Yellowstone WY, and Grand Teton National Park. Before leaving Wyoming they made a stop at Jackson Hole then continued on their travels to Salt Lake City, UT. Before departing Utah, they visited Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park. Heading back towards Iowa, they stopped for a concert at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheater and a final hike at Rocky Mountain National Park.
2024 Epic Summer Rav Trip Ava Bradley
A Historial Journey
The Epic Summer Rav Trip is back for 2024 with our winner, Loras Graduate, Ava Bradley! Ava is taking a unique trip east that incorperates her majors in politics and history. Starting out in Buffalo, NY, Ava and her friends attended a Bills game before making their way to Massachusetts to visit several historical sites. Amoungst those sites were several in Salem Massachusetts, and other literary stops in Concord. Before heading out of Massachusetts, they caught a quick Sox game in Boston. Next, they hit several sites in Philly including an American history tour and even the Liberty Bell. There last stops were made at the country's capital in DC, and a quick hang with Ava's friends in family who reside in the area.
