America’s New No 1 Vehicle: The Toyota RAV4

The RAV4 dethrones the Ford F150 as the bestselling vehicle in America

Published in an article by Forbes, a significant upset has transpired. The longstanding No 1 vehicle in America, the Ford F150, has lost its position as the bestselling vehicle. With the F150’s sales down -%5 in 2024, the RAV4 simultaneously had a +9% sales increase. The RAV4 has been trailing the Ford truck for several years, but hasn’t been able to outperform it until now. The RAV4‘s ability to overtake the F150 7 years after the current models release shows this SUV’s resilience. The RAV4 is expected to release it’s redesigned model later in 2025, which will make it increasingly difficult for the F150 to regain its No 1 position.

In addition to the RAV4, the Toyota Camry and Corolla are slowly making there way up this list. The Camry maintains its position at No 6 and the Corolla jumps from its previous position at No 10 to No 7. We will be keeping a close eye on how these moves contribute to the sales for 2025.
