The 2026 Toyota Crown

The Toyota Crown wows with its blend of bold and unique design, blending features from a sedan and SUV.

The Crown is available in 4 different grades including the XLE, Limited, Nightshade, and Platinum. This exclusively all wheel drive model is available with powertrain options of the Toyota Hybrid System and the Hybrid MAX system, only available on Platinum. The Hybrid MAX powertrain has a 340 net combined horsepower and a net 400 lb-ft. of torque. The Crown Hybrid MAX has an EPA-estimated 30 MPG combined city/highway fuel economy rating. When creating the Crown, the main focus was the drive performance it offered drivers. On the Platinum, the Adaptive Variable Suspension also comes standard. This system allows for the support of the high output 2.4-liter Turbo Hybrid Engine and eAxle. The combination of this with the AVS controls the friction while turning, overall improving the driving conditions on bumpy roads. The AVS tuning changes for each driving mode with include normal, eco, sport, rear comfort, or custom. This changes the output changing he steering response, stability control, and ride comfort.

The overall design of the Crown brings the best of both worlds when it comes to sedans and SUV models. The Crown sits on either 19-inch or 21-inch wheels, giving it the height feel of an SUV that allows for easier entry and exit. Inside the spacious cabin, the Crown gives off the luxury feel with its standard leather trimmed seats. Also coming standard are the piano key controls up front, upright wireless smartphone charger, and the latest audio multimedia system with an available upgrade to the premium JBL system. High level standard features include a leather trimmed heated steering wheel, 8-way power adjustable front seats, driver lumbar support, standard heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, and more.

The standard technology on the Crown is also the best Toyota has to offer with its standard 12.3-inch multimedia screen. The innovation doesn’t stop there. With an active Drive Connect subscription this multimedia system can assist the driver with intelligent assistant, voice-activated direction demands, and adjustments to controls within the cabin. While the XLE lacks this feature, the other three trim levels have the JBL Premium Audio System standard.

Toyota Safety Sense 3.0

Expanding on technology to Toyota’s famously known safety systems, the Crown is equipped with the newest safety suite, TSS 3.0. TSS 3.0 includes the following features:

• Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control: Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control is an adaptive cruise control system that uses distance between vehicles to maintain a preset distance from the vehicle in front of you. This function is best used when set above 20 MPH, for example driving on the highway.
• Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist: Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist uses the detection of lane markings to alert the driver when lane departure is detected. If no action is taken, the steering assist provides gentle correction to stay within the lane.
• Lane Tracing Assist: Lane Tracing Assist is designed to assist in keeping the vehicle at the center of the lane.
• Road Sign Assist: Road Sign Assist uses the front cameras on the vehicle to recognize ride signs such as speed limit, stop, and yield. The sign is the displayed on the multi-information display.
• Automatic High Beams: Automatic High Beams are designed to detect oncoming headlights. When detected, the vehicle will automatically disable the high beams.
• Proactive Driving Assist: Proactive Driving Assist uses the vehicles radar and cameras to provide braking and steering support. Vehicle operating conditions must be met for this feature to be enabled.
