The Toyota C-HR is back for 2026 as a Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV), the 20th electrified model to join the Toyota lineup!

The all-new 2026 Toyota C-HR is making its entry into the electrified lineup. Some notable performance measurements of the 2026 C-HR include a 338 combined system horsepower with an estimated electric driving range of 290-miles. Its 0-60 mph time clocks in at roughly 5 seconds, giving the consumer the get up and go feeling with this SUV. The coupe-like designed SUV has 25.4-cupic feet of rear cargo space with 60/40-fold flat seats in the rear to add extra space. The C-HR will be equipped with a North American Charging System port, allowing access to thousands of DC charging stations nationwide. It is also compatible with Level One and Level Two AC power sources for convenient at home charging.

The C-HR will be available in two grades, the SE and XSE. It comes equipped with standard features including the 14 inch touchscreen, digital gauge cluster, dual wireless phone chargers, and Toyota Safety Sense 3.0. It will also include standard functionality features including a power liftgate, low-profile roof rails, and rain-sensing wipers. Consumers will be able to choose from interior trim of fabric or softex and alloy wheels at 18 or 20 inches. The coupe style SUV will come equipped with standard all wheel drive with electric motors housed in the front and rear eAxles.

It is important to note the battery safety is a top priority for the Toyota team. Several measures have been put in place to protect the cell integrity. This includes redundant monitoring of battery voltage, this consistently measures current and temperature of the battery to detect abnormalities. The battery system also utilizes a high-resistance coolant circulation system to aid in thermal event prevention.
